If your companyBE-powered website currently uses Google Maps functionality (Dealer locators, or embedded maps on contact/info pages) and you’re seeing errors with the map displaying, it’s most likely due to new rules that Google has put in place requiring you to have an API key.
In order to integrate Google Maps into your website you will need to create an API key. These are used to track and control how the API is being used, as well as for billing. Google offers $200 of free credit per user every month. While this is typically enough for most websites, Google offers an API calculator to estimate monthly costs. Any extra cost is charged to the account associated with your API key.
Once you’ve created your API key, just send us an email to support@companybe.com and let us know which pages need updating. We can make the necessary updates for you and will send you a reply when it’s all set.
